The services and information in this guide focus on the special needs of someone who has completed cancer treatment and is managing treatment's late- and long-term effects, whether physical, financial, legal or emotional.

Roles of CAT Members and Partners

 

CAT Members:

  • Represent public, private, nonprofit groups, or themselves as citizens
  • Regularly attend CAT meetings or send appointed delegate
  • Provide information on donated hours and/or in kind contributions to CAT
  • Receive all CAT communications
  • Vote by consensus
  • Serve on ad hoc work groups, according to interest
  • May request letters of support from the CAT for funding, project proposals
  • Actively serve on one of the CAT Work Groups to help implement the Texas Cancer Plan
  • Active participation means attending regular conference calls, meetings, and completing assignments.

Members may also volunteer to join one of the following Operational and/or Ad-hoc Subcommittees:

  • Nominations
  • Communications
  • Resources
  • Advocacy

CAT Partners:

  • Represent public, private, nonprofit groups or themselves as citizens
  • Attend CAT meetings as available
  • Receive all CAT communications
  • May wish to participate as a consultant on various projects/activities
  • May request letters of support from the CAT for funding, project proposals

Terms

At this time, there are no term limits on general members or partners. Terms of Executive Committee members expire as detailed in the Alliance Operating Principles.
