About The Cancer Alliance of Texas (CAT)

The Cancer Alliance of Texas (CAT) exists to promote, enhance and expand all public and private partners' efforts to implement the Texas Cancer Plan 2012: A Statewide Call to Action for Cancer Research, Prevention, and Control.

Collaboration among all those entities and individuals who have expertise, resources, or commitments is essential to reduce the burden of cancer on the citizens of Texas.

The aim is to advance cooperative efforts that focus on cancer prevention, early detection, screening, and other related or supportive efforts among the population of Texas, which advance the goals of the Texas Cancer Plan.

The cardinal principle is to assure that well-integrated and sustained initiatives address every facet of planning, implementation, evaluation, and propagation of the best efforts and programs allied against cancer.
